Bleh--still sick! I think it is clearing my respiratory system though. Woke up early AM with non-race-related muscle aches and chills, and decided to call in sick. Turns out my whole grade level team plus our ESL support teacher did the same. I know we've all been dragging all week and/or had sick kids at home. Hope admin doesn't think this was pre-planned!

Really looking forward to doing something other than lying on the couch. Will probably do a week or so of easy baby workouts (the ones I was going to do this week) before getting back to anything resembling training. Still trying to figure out the logistics of Worlds, and wrap my head around the reality of doing two more HIM this year. Stupid, but the idea that I actually MIGHT qualify never really did occur to me until I did....You should have seen the panicked text I sent my boss before the roll down!

I am also signed up for Calgary 70.3 in July, which was supposed to be a race-cation with Mom, and don't think I can get out of it. Maybe do it as some kind of workout? Or just go for it in both races and take....like...the next six months off???

I am looking forward to next week to get back to running, I am still healing up a bum foot, but it should be good to go by the middle of next week.

No races this weekend but my FIRST ever triathlon is coming up quick, a little under a month away on June 11th!! Its a Sprint distance, and I am super pumped to get my first race under my belt!

Have fun at softball, my middle school baseball team has "championships" this weekend. It is a 3 game tourney vs other middle schools in our school district. I am hoping to be able to bring home a win as this will be my last season coaching and we have not won it since I have coached here!

5:30am -50 min altitude spin - actually could push some watts today.

Came home to a sick kid again. Luckily my parents live close so they could watch him so I could teach my 9:30am class.

Taught 45 min spin, then went and volunteered at my kids school. Now back and hanging with the sickie. Lots of TV for him and work for me.

I went biking and did hills. Not my favourite workout but my first and second race of the season include the Niagara escarpment (what Niagara Falls runs over) so I need to put some in my training.
