Subject: Hazelnut spread bad or good for you?
Hi, my wife just bought some hazelnut spread, like "Nutella"..

Is this stuff good or bad for you? It's high in sugar and fat, but the fat comes from the hazelnut, which I hear is good fat...

If it were hazelnut butter, as in, the only ingredient were hazelnuts, I'd say it is good for you. Not in a "Hey I think I'll eat several cups of this a day" kind of way....more of a "This is a filling and nutritious snack" sort of way. However, you mentioned nutella. Besides being a food of the gods, nutella is not good for you. It has tons of added sugar, which makes it not a good health food.
