Good morning from a blustery desert--holy 50 mph winds!

4:45am:  :45 minutes on the trainer

5:30am: 40 minutes upper body/core

As luck would have it today is picture day for the school--lots of hairspray going on today! Lol!  As the yearbook advisor I will be helping all day long which means I will be helping seniors with tuxes and drapes.  My daughter is a senior--guaranteed to shed some tears when I'm helping her get ready.  Seems surreal that she's a senior.  I can still remember walking her to first day of kindergarten--one of my best friends was her teacher. I remember all these kids as kindergartners!

Have a great day!

Time does fly! One of my first students (in Grade 2) is now an MD!

Rain here from about 7 AM (right as I was leaving for school--ugh) to 4 PM. More wet fields and streets. But I was able to get in my swim.

3000m of swimming. No early-morning heroics today--Monday is my day to sleep in. If only my fur children could grasp that concept. Off to bed soon.

Six mile run at 4:00 AM before my 2 hour drive planned for this morning.

Happy picture day.

My daughter is a junior. One more year until the big senior year.

Just a 2 mile run here tonight. I hate to use the old excuse but its been hard finding enough time in the past week.

With all that hairspray does that mean you did a beehive? Do we get to see it?

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

I have been able to swim 200-300 yards without stopping for the past couple of weeks, but this morning I couldn’t swim more than 50. Could not eating make a big differance?

This is not an easy task, especially for the “9-to-5er” with family. But you can do it – all without sacrificing your marriage, job or family.

Once you caught your breath, it occurred to you that finishing even a short triathlon might be harder than you thought. After a few "laps" you thought, "I can't believe I'm so out of shape."
