Subject: 11.3.16 THURSDAY!

Lol...I have been a day behind all week long!  Not sure why!

4:30am:  :50 minutes on the trainer--big gear work.  That's actually my favorite kind of workout--long, hard pushes.

5:30am:  :40 minutes lower body strength + core

Today is actually my Friday--heading back to Vegas tomorrow for State CC on Saturday.  My boys and I have been nervous all week, but they've had good workouts all week--confidence and nerves are high!

I tried to stay up to watch the entire Cubs/Indians game 7 but once they pulled out the ground tarps I was done!  I was very happy to wake up to find out the Cubs won.  Hubby is a lifelong Cubs fan so I have become one by association!

Good luck at State!

Just 2800m of swimming here. Managed not to have my workout stormed out. Rain is supposed to hit after midnight and weekend forecast looks awful--nothing new. Supposed to do a run tomorrow AM, but think I'd better copy out the next trainer ride in case I end up doing that instead.

I always feel awesome when I get off and run after doing big gear work. One would think that wouldn't be the case, but it is. My coach claims it's because big gear work activates fast twitch muscles fibers (I previously believed I had none of those--my college nickname was "No Twitch". Can't sprint to save my life, in any discipline.) Or maybe it's just a relief to be off the bike!

11:45 - 55' strength. I'm a big wimp, so this is kicking my butt a lot more than it probably should.

Hope the boys run well, Kim. What an exciting opportunity!

Today was a recover day. I did a 6 mile run at about 1 min/mi slower than my marathon pace.  :-)

3:00pm hotel dreadmill LT testing:

20' warm up, then 4x15" quick to warm up the legs. Walk break in between the 15" pick ups. Run 30' fast for LT. 10' cool down. 6.6 miles
