Subject: Ironman WI sold out in 65 minutes?????
Monday AM I tried to register online for the 2007 IMWI, at 11:05 AM CST - one hour and five minutes after online registration had opened and it was already sold out. Wow. I guess triathlons -even in the rain- are more popular than I had anticipated.....

I went up and watched finishers in the 11:15 to the 13:15 time frame. Even with the rain it was incredible!!!! Big crowds, 3 deep, lots of noise. Who'd a thunk it?

At the awards banquet they said it closed in 45 minutes. I think that will now be about the norm for most IM races. Luckily I got in on-site for #2.

I was on at 10am CST sharp and was able to sign both my husband and I up for IM WI 07! What should have taken 5 minutes (if that) to register, it took 35 minutes for the system to chug through the screens. Wish us luck...

I read your IM WI race report last night. I was there as a spectator, so it was really interesting to hear your perspective. You did great--I can't believe it was your 1st IM.

I too signed up on-site for next year. It will be my first IM.
