Comments:

This was a forgettable race for me. I didn't feel strong from the start and the first 3/4 mile was uphill adding to the difficulty.

On the flip side, Julia was 3rd overall and 2nd in her age group. Congrats! (She looked good too)

Keep your head up, keep training and wear those new flats!!  You'll be hanging with me (and probably beating me) soon if you keep working   Let a 'forgetable' race motivate you - actually DON"T forget it!! Remember how you don't want to be there again while your contemplating skipping a workout   Learn from every race! 

And considering the hills, I don't think it was all THAT bad for you.
