Subject: A reintroduction?
Hi!

This is sort of strange. i was here over a year ago, supposedly training for my first tri. That was aborted, though, due to some things i don't want to get into right now, and now i'm back.

i live in Madison, Wisconsin, so this is perhaps not the best time to begin training for a tri, but if i'm consistent with my workouts, i should be ready for a spring tri. i'm also considering an indoor tri this winter, depending on how that whole pool thing goes.

So hello to everyone! Any Madisonians around? i might need to find some people to keep me honest with my workouts...

Welcome back. I am sure that you will be ready by spring. Good luck in your training and be sure to keep logs so that you can go back and see your improvements!

Welcome back!  You have plenty of time for a sprint tri. Keep your training a little on the lighter side to get into some good habits and prevent burnout.  It's going to be a long winter.  For me and you both!

Lots of people from your area on these boards.  Check out the WI forum and you'll see many of them.  WI has one of the more active forum boards on this site.

As far as the weather goes there are some of us who LOOOOOVE the lousy/cold weather for training.  We think its a great time of year to start training.  Although swimming in the snow is tough.

Welcome back! Like they said, you've got lots of time to get ready for a sprint. What kind of sports background do you have? Got any experience in any of the trilogy (swim/bike/run)? Don't worry to much about being fixated on the numbers. Its not that big of a deal. Many here are.
