Subject: I am going to see the Kona race !!!
I have a family trip to Molokai starting on 10/19, and I just realized I will be on the big island for the weekend of the Ironman Championship !!! I am so excited. I signed up as a volunteer to work at an aid station on the bike course so I can give back some sweet karma passed to me in my short race career by all the great volunteers I've seen on the courses. The deadline for signup was 9/1, but I got a reply to my entry and hope to be able to volunteer.

I also got inspired to sign up for another sprint race in October.

Wonderful -- I hope it all works out for you and your family to see the race and hopefully volunteer at it. 

I would love to give out water to the amateurs and watch the pros whizz by. 

If I gave water to the pros, I'd probably be nervous and spill it.
