Enjoy it while you can, they’ll soon leave home and you’ll wonder what to do with all that spare time! So, race day tomorrow. As I wrote before, not my A race so it will be a training session with focus on run and transitions. It’s a new race so that’ll will count as a win for 2024 Nat
(unless I DNF
) Been practicing transitions yesterday and it felt great. Running went well this week too so I am hopeful. Goal S 390 m 8:19 @ 2:08 min/100 meters
(same as last week
) T1: 1:30 hard to tell because I don’t know how big the transition area is so hope I can grab a few seconds here B: 18k at 30kph : 36 minutes
(if it’s hilly, I may lose time here
) T2: 1:00
(see T1
) R: 4.2k at 5:30/ km = 23:06 minutes
(hoping for flat-ish course
) Total 1:09:55. previous years' winning times where about one hour but 2nd and third about 1:08-1:09 so I'll have a shot at it. Although it's not my main goal, as it depends on who turns up or doesn't, it's always fun to be on the podium. Happy Friday!
