Well congrat to Lance but at the same time glad to see him humbled by the marathon after saying it wouldn't be too difficult.

"Now's not the time to ask that question. The answer now is no, I'll never be back. But I reserve the right to change my mind," he said. "I don't know how these guys do it."

Ahh, but he is qualified for Boston now.

Give much props to Lance...said this was the hardest thing he'd ever done.

If that's the hardest thing he's ever done, I'm am officially calling a BULLSH!T on him.

oh yeah, congrats on the race too.

I can believe it was harder than some of the stuff he did on the tour. If you think about it he is trained to be on the bike whereas his body probably isn't used to the beating you can take on some runs. Good for him though, hope he does Boston, that would be pretty cool.

He says the hardest thing he has ever done. But I seriously doubt he was in TDF kinda shape for this. I saw him on one of the morning shows and he said his longest run ever was last week at 16 miles.

Never discredit what a hard marathon does to you ..... it is a LOT more punishing physically than a cycling event.

I love the pic. they have there, he looks totally wiped, something I never saw from him in all my years of watching/participating in cycling events.

I didn't think he'd break 3:10, let alone 3:00, hats off to him.

I've never done a marathon, but I've heard others say the 20 mile mark is only the half way point. If he'd never been to 20 before, I can see why this would be so hard.

He says he won't be back, but I'll be surprised if he doesn't do another. I bet his drive and ego tells him he wants to finish one strong, not staggering across the line.

I think he will be back.

I guess it depends on alot of factors. Its very addictive thing to do. I said I would never do it again but sure enough not even 1 year later I was back doing it yet again. Plus the first is always the worse since you really have no idea what to expect.

guess depends alot on how much he loves to run and train. Really he is a competitive person and I can not see him just sitting around doing nothing. Plus Nike might want him to do more if his shoes or whatever he was promoting takes off. Honestly I was watching lance over the leaders. I thought it was more interesting.
