Morning Bear, Cindy,

I'm going to scare my neighbors by donning my wetsuit for the first time in the neighborhood pool. I did a brick yesterday where I'm racing this coming weekend and didn't get to swim in the lake, but found out the water is "COLD". I've never swam in the wetsuit, so I guess I'd better give it a try.

2000 yd swim this morning, followed by a 10k run.

I'll be doing some sort of indoor training today. It's quite nasty outside.

Good luck and have fun today racing.  I'm resting, after the bottle throwing incident, I deserve a day of nothing -- but I will be watching the olympics, making sauce, and a raspberry pie for my husband.

I hope everyone had a good day. I did Hurricane clean-up at a friends' place after doing the same at my house yesterday. She was not as lucky as we were. No training this weekend but lots of cutting, dragging, and scrapes. All in all a very productive weekend with a sense of accomplishment.

Woke up and hit the yard. It's like Seattle out here raining every day at 3 p.m. for months. Finally no rain so hit the front yard, pulled the weeds, cut the lawn, etc. Watched the Olympics and then road bike to the gym, ran and swam and then road bike home. Whew, I"m tired. Wish I had a cook and a maid. Any takers? Congrats on all your first races out there. Woo Hoo. No more never ever for you.

10 mile LSD run today. I now know why it's called an LSD run - after the first 7 miles, you start to hallucinate! ;-)

Evelyn, can I have some raspberry pie?

Short 3.85 mile run in between call-ins to work. 31:15 time. Took it pretty easy because the temp was 96 degrees. The short run was a good thing! Hope everyone had a good time at their races today.

No, I am thinking ahead to next summer. There aren't any tris around here for the rest of the season(well, at least not in Calgary--I can't afford to travel to one right now).
