that was a fast run, even if you had to run in the sand!

Good job. I lived in Singapore in 1985. Where was the race? Used to run with the Hash on Friday nights and have great memories.

It's at sentosa. Part of the run is along the beaches there. Just couldn,t get used to running on sand, was really frustrating like running in quick sand and slow. I regreted not being able to complete the run without stopping and walk a couple of times during the stretch along the sandy beaches, should have pushed myself to run throughout the race and clock a better timing.
Anyway it's over, next race will be my first half marathon at end of next month and this time I will complete it running all the way to the finishing line.

Good luck in the 1/2. I did a couple of small races back in '85 and a 1/2 up in Malaysia. There weren't many back then. Running in sand is tough.

I was there too. (1 hr 3mins). The beach run must be at least 3km.
The first guy , a gurkha came in at 36mins. Incredible.

Yep simply incredible....The gurkhas have always been in the top placing in local running events. During TV interview, He says that he runs twice a day daily clocking 10km. I guess some people are just gifted....
