Can anyone help/give advice? EVERYTIME I run, I get a side stitch in my right side.... I ran 6 mi's yesterday (w/ a side stitch the whole time), and I STILL HAVE IT!!! I'm not doing anything but sitting here at work, and I can feel it when I get up to go somewhere. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks, and as always, keep tri'ing!

breathing slow and deep and going slower will eventually get rid of them for me.

Is it possible you aren't properly hydrated before the run? I'm not talking about drinking water right before running, but keeping a steady flow of fluids into your body all during the day before your run. That can sometimes help. If you run first thing in the morning, it can obviously be difficult to hydrate beforehand - in that case try changing your run time for a few days to see if that helps and go from there.

First aid for a side stitch - use your hand to push up and under your rib cage at the sore spot and exhale hard.

I hate them...I've gotten them on two ocassions during 5k's. Funny thing, both races were at sundown. So I'm guessing a full stomach had something to with it. In fact, my 5k times were slower than my 21k times on both ocassions because of side stitches!

Are you sure it is a side stitch and not a muscle injury?
