Overall Rank = 23/118
Age Group = 20-24
Age Group Rank = 0/
Pre-race routine:

Stopped to get a cliff bar at a gas station and drove to the course. It was storming out as I drove in. Glad it cleared up as the race started
Event warmup:

Did a little bit of jogging, and bikeing
Swim
  • 15m 59s
  • 750 meters
  • 02m 08s / 100 meters
Comments:

I got way off course! I was swimming with 4 others and we were all going the wrong way. I spotted the wrong bouy and was swimming towards that one. I would have noticed if I had been all alone but there were others with me. I think I ended up swimming 950 meters insted of 750. Very choppy water.
What would you do differently?:

Start far to the right since I tend to drift to the left when I swim.
Transition 1
  • 02m 42s
Comments:

Had a slight problem getting my bike off the rack. The one next to mine had fallen over and was caught with mine.
Bike
  • 47m 9s
  • 12.4 miles
  • 15.78 mile/hr
Comments:

I guess I could have been better prepeared for the hills.
Transition 2
  • 01m 5s
Comments:

Was a good t2. I don't think I could have gone that much faster
Run
  • 31m 32s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 10m 10s  min/mile
Comments:

Well my best run of the year. Still dragged me down in the over all times.
What would you do differently?:

Just need to keep working on the run
Post race
Warm down:

walked around a bit, got some water and some food.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Need to run faster

Event comments:

They had pizza for post race food. I didn't feel like eating it though. Overall a nice race. I ended up getting 3rd in my age division, and got a plaque. It was nice. My first award.
