Used the map from 3d and took a swag at the course. But is there a more detailed version somewhere? Questions I have where exactly is the transition set up (parking lot of maple beach?)

Does the course really end with that hill up to maple beach, had to bail on it today

whats the turn around at the other beach do you cut through the parking lot or use the bike path?

on the return do go the wrong way where buno road comes in or swing right and around like the cars do?

Definately not ready for AA race after the ride today. Hopefully with 2 months I can be ready for this one. My legs still ache.

I biked a route in Kensington with Trix earlier in the week.  I might be able to help... where is map on the 3D website?  I don't know the lay of the land well myself (first time I biked it), but if I saw a map.

You are right.  There were several good climbs!!  However, I don't recall doing any tri's that had a bike route that challenging before, fwiw!

Here is a map I made from my best guess of the the map from 3disciplines racing.

Map from 3d racing

Thinking my plan is Tue and Wed after work to try and ride this route. Should have enough time to get ready for this race.

I don't have time now, but I'll look at it later!   They could have made a better map, that's for sure!

Assuming that they use the same bike route as the Great Pumpkin / Spooky Sprint Du last fall... I took the metropark map and outlined the course on it. See the attached PDF that I made. The Tri route does look exactly like the Du last fall.

I ride at Kensington often. It and Island Lake are where I do 85% of my training at.

Right out of T1 you head up hill. There a a few good steep hills which are a blast to go down.

Hope this helps,
- tom

I had to downsize the graphic to <100K. If you're interested in a better image let me know and I can email the PDF that I made. It is 400KB.

You should send that to 3d much better than what they are showing. Please email me the PDf. It looks like T! is in the NE corner of the parking lot?

Thanks agian.

Looks like the hill climb to the maple beach entrence is at the end of the ride, I gotta lotta work to do on this engine.

Awesome map, Tom.  That's a winner.  Yeah, coming back that last hill is gonna be outstanding.

Thanks. Kensington sure does have some steep hills. It's easy to hit 40 mph going down them too!

cheers,
