Want to say thanks for this site - it as helped me through my first month of training. I'm 37 years old, 3 small children (4,5 and 6), computer programmer/systems guy, and happily married now for >15 years.

My wife has been doing Tri's for >2 years now and I've been sitting on the side lines as she has built herself up to completing several 1/2 Iron Mans, Marathons, 1/2 Marathons and now she will compete in her first Iron Man distance event in Florida in the latter part of October. Here Signon here is IronTam if you get a change to post something in her training log to encourage her along the way.

So far things are going well, I began to excercise (swim and run) in the month of June, but didn't come across this site till August and it has really helped to log my training and see some small progress - it at least gives me one more person/thing to be accountable to (I feel like a loser if I don't workout just so I can update my training log, see the computer nerd in me!). I purchased a good bike (Cannondale R600) about a month or so ago and really enjoy the biking part.

I'm doing another sprint Tri in 2 weeks and training for the Half (1/2 Marathon) in Dallas in early November.
