Subject: RE: pain behind the knee I had the same thing! I would get up in the morning, or after sitting for a bit, and it would feel like the back of my knee was a rubber band that was being pulled too far. After three weeks I went to a doctor who told me what I'd pretty much figured out: overuse injury. I stretched more often, used ice and heat, went to a massage therapist, and went easy for a while - which was very hard now that the weather is getting nicer.
I'd suggest just going easy and working things back into normal carefully. (A trip to the doctor wouldn't hurt if you feel any sharp pain or weakness in the leg ).
