Okay...question...OutOfShapeGuy and I registered last night...it charged our credit card, but we didn't receive any confirmation email. Should we worry? Should I call Active? It popped up with our registration info, but we didn't print it off...and of course, closed the window (we're brilliant, clearly). How long did it take for you to get confirmation via email? I'm hoping they post a participant confirmation thing on the site soon. |

Extreme Veteran 475 Tampa, FL | Subject: RE: IRONMAN 70.3 Florida... I did this race this past year and it was awesome. Single-loop lake swim, single loop bike course with some nice rolling hills, 3 loop run course. The run course was probably my least favorite part of the race, as a lot of it takes place off-road on some back-lot trails. Don't wear new shoes for the run, because they will be absolutely black by the end of the run. Overall, it was a great race and I will look at doing it again next year. |

Regular 131 Flower Mound, TX | Subject: RE: IRONMAN 70.3 Florida... Did it this year, nice race and well supported. Swim is nice and bike is pretty flat with a few small rollers mixed in. 2 miles of the 4.4 mile loop suck as I do not like trails and as someone said leave the nice shoes at home because they will be black when you are done. nice venue though. |

New user 1 | Subject: RE: IRONMAN 70.3 Florida... I just registered for Florida, my first IM 70.3! (I've only done one sprint distance). My friends told me the run part is not that great (trails, uneven terrain and they cut the grass in this fields and did not remove it), still I'm looking forward!. I am running New York Marathon in November (my 4th marathon), so my focus this months will be more on running. |
