IM training on Oahu- no car, Tripler area

So I'm registered to race IM Moo and will be arriving in HI on the 28th and spending the next 4 weeks living in Tripler Lodge and doing a rotation at the hospital. I know that there's a pool there but what about biking and running routes? I'm limited by the lack of a car to safe areas I can ride to and I'll admit to being a rural type that isn't real comfortable w/ urban riding. Hilly riding would be a good thing though based on my memories of the WI(climb, descend, turn corner-repeat). TIA
