Last year I did Sand Key and Escape to Siesta. This year I did the bike as a relay at St. Anthonys and am going to try the Suncoast tri at Ft. Desoto. Its a beautiful beach. I swam .22 miles there this past Sunday. Calm steady water. Hopefully it stays that way in late October. Anyone else doing this race?

a lot of my co workers are doing their first tri at suncoast... course is beautiful, nice and flat... did Escape Ft Desoto this year as first tri, great first tri location... thought I'd almost die! lol Doin my first oly, Longleaf on the 21st I think, if I can recover well, which I have been so far this year, would like to join them and compare my time, 1st tri to last tri of season.

I will most likely do this one, just completed my first last weekend at Sand Key. It is a great place.

I'm already registerd for this one. I did Top Gun at Ft. Desoto. Pretty sure it's the same exact course. Top Gun has been my favorite tri this year and I've done 4 sprints (one in NY) and one oly. I'm really looking forward to Suncoast.

I would recomend this one to everyone.

My wife did the race also, her first tri. She finished in about 1:30. I am proud!

Looking forward to other ft desoto races. Is there an olympic?
