Subject: Does anybody know a good sports medicine doctor?
I wanted to ask if anybody knows a good sports medicine doctor in the Chandler/Scottsdale/Phoenix area (or any area of the valley for that matter). I've been dealing with some symptoms that sound a lot like chronic exertion compartment syndrome for about the past 1.5-2.0 years. With the recent pressure and numbness I've been feeling in my legs while running I think it's time to get it checked out. any referrals would be great, thanks!

I used Foothills rehab and loved them! I went to the office at Arrowhead but they have more offices in the valley

Thanks for the info but if I do indeed suffer from CECS then it may require surgery to relive the pressure and pain that I feel while running. I guess I'm looking for a doctor that specializes in sports specific injures and procedures.

Made an appointment with Doctor Clark (Dr. McCoy's partner) since Dr. McCoy is really busy with the Dbacks right now. Thanks for the input again.

Thanks guys!

I met with Dr. Clark who is really cool. I'm now scheduled for 3 weeks of PT to see if that will help the symptoms of CECS that I've I had for the past two years. No running for 3 weeks and then we'll see where I'm at. If the PT doesn't help then I'll have to go in for a pressure test and possibility surgery. If that's the case then I'm not going to make the half marathon which will suck.

Glad he worked out. I used to go to his partner who moved (Dr. Brent Rich), and then went to McCoy, but changing jobs meant changing insurance meant changing doctors. Haven't dealt with Clark before but good to know nonetheless.
