If you're already counting the days till the 2008 race season begins, check out Set Up Events, www.setupevents.com.  The 2008 dates have been posted, as well as the rolling schedule for when registration will begin for each event.

75 Days till Registration Opens!

Thanks for posting! I just checked earlier yesterday and nothing was up yet. I'm really excited about next season!

Edit: It's listed as 2007 schedule, but NCTS has the 2008 dates.

I thought that Setup was doing the beach 2 battleship half and ful iron distance race on Nov. 1, 2008. I didn't see it listed. Anybody know anything about that?

I don't think it is part of the NCTS so it would not be listed on the NCTS schedule but it would be listed under other events more than likely

Look under Other Events.  It is a Set Up Event but they're not putting it in as part of the NCTS.  It also has a standalone site, www.beachtobattleship.com.

1)  I was hoping that the battleship races would be part of NCTS, but I guess it is too late in the season

2) I was going to do Duke, then Wilmington, then Pinehurst, but they have crammed them closer together than ever. That would be a hellacious 3 weeks, but I may still do it.  I will definately do Duke and Pinehurst.  It's just that Wilmington is so much fun, that it is hard to pass up.

3)  hope the registration system goes better this year than last.

I'm guessing that the rolling start will help some.  There's still a bunch of popular races but they may be spread out a little any way.

Think we can get Bill S. to start issuing gift cards?  It would make xmas gift giving a lot easier.

Xmas?? You can still afford Xmas after paying race fees, buying nutrition, replacing chlorine-bleached suits, and keeping up with a proper replacement cycle on your running shoes???  Count us in for Xmas morning then.  We'll even give you stockings to put up for all of our kids
