Hi everybody! I am back finally after many many many months of not trying. The site looks great, kudos to Ron and team on that. It's taking me a while to check everything out.

A little about me for those of you who joined while i was on my 'sabaticle'.... I'm 29 years old, live in the NW suburbs of Chicago, have a greyhound [which i adopted while she was recovering from a broken leg].

Okay, so my new very short term goal to get me motivated again to train is to do an indoor triathlon in early February. It's weird but after being so severely addicted to triathlon training for almost 3 years, suffering through the withdrawel of the endorphin rush for two years after that [due to mt. bike back injury]- i find myself almost scared to even begin to do anything- yet at the same time frustrated because i do have to start from scratch.

Which is why I am back here again.... I began to feel like I was amongst a very cool circle of friends here when I joined last January. I am very excited to be back again. Now, I am off to enjoy what may be one of the last nice days before old man winter comes around.

Thanks for reading and keep Tri-ing!

Milly

Hi Milly- Welcome back and good luck with your training.  It's great you have a race already picked out, so you have something to shoot for...That always helps me. I'm planning my 2005 season as soon as I see races being posted. I bet it's tough training in Illinois during the winter- can you bike or run outside, or is it just too cold? Being from Florida, I can train year round, so I'm pretty lucky. Although, I would like some cold weather once in a while to break up this heat! See you around BT and train hard!! =)

I've been playing hide and seek [from myself]. I think I got so good, I couldn't find me. As I was looking through a VS catalog; I realized a couple of things. First, how much I missed being in shape and feeling great about myself. And second, I realized what I needed to do to find me.... JUST DO IT [as Nike so well adopted as a logo].

I finally stopped procrastinating- marched myself over to a gym... demanded a great deal [I knew I was joining either way, had to try] and to my amazement they gave it to me.

So, here I am... no longer allowing pity to get in my way and REALLY hoping that I can stay on the boat. Where there's a will there's a way....

as I'll keep saying, it's great to be back in this community of support and friendship!
Thanks again guys.

Hang in there.  We want to know the highs and the lows.  Don't hide.  Hope your neck is better too.

Welcome back and good luck in your with your training, It seems that there are alot of indoor triathlons in the Chicago area, man I am really envious, I wish there was more of that kind of thing in Maine
