Stanford is having a Tri (Sprint) March 2, 2008 7:30 am start. This will happen in the Redwood City area.

Stanford is part of a conference of a number of CA colleges that host their own Sprint tri's. I'm signed up for the UC Davis one because it's close by. There's also one at Berkeley and Cal Poly and more, if I'm not mistaken.

These races are great because there is a small age group field and they have a real grassroots kind of feel (I've done the UC Davis and Sac State tri's before). They also support the college's tri team. I would definitely recommend these races.

The same series also includes UCLA and Cal State Long Beach. I did both of those last year and they were fun and well run.
