Ok I get sick of my cheap swim glass/goggles getting fogged and leaking after 20-30 minutes in the water. What is the best swim glasses/goggles to purchase? Money is not an object and I want the best most comfortable to wear on long swims over 1 mile. Should I get tinted for summer open water? I train in a pool in the winter so they have to hold up in chlorine.

honestly, it depends a lot on your face...i had trouble finding goggles that actually stuck to my face right for a long time, but then i found my absolute favorites, my husbands like them too.   i never get water in my eyes anymore.  they're speedo hydrospex, and they come in tinted versions, which is good for outdoor swimming.  i know you said money is no object, but they're also not that expensive at swim-outlet.com.

the antifog doesn't last too long on goggles i've tried, but spit or anti-fog gel do the trick.

Thisi s a good question though do people like the foam around the lenses or the rubber?

Rubber seals better on my face.

I use a pair of Speedo Vanquisher.  I log over 35 hrs and close to 100 km on it and it's still holding up well.

I went through the same thing. Silicone seals the best. The AquaSphere Seal XP was the best fit. Seal to my face even without the strap. They are a little larger, so probably not as aero, but does not matter to me. I will be getting a 2nd pair with chromatic lens that darkens in the sun. Silicone will hold up to about anything. I have a scuba mask that is 20 years old and was just to 60' 2 weeks ago. A good watersprt shop will let you try them on.

you need some Baracuda's.  i've been through a  few pairs of goggles in my first couple tri seasons.  the Baracuda's cost the most for sure, but have been worth every penny. very comfy, great seal, good longevity so far, available tinted.

they have my vote.

I'm with Barracuda too. I have a small face frame and these are seriously the best pair of goggles I've ever bought in the 30+ years I've been swimming.

I spent an hour trying on about twenty different pairs of goggles before I bough mine. I thought I wanted Speedo brand goggles but none of them fit my face well. I found some TYR's that are awesome! They don't fog up and the seal is great. Most importantly, they feel awesome!

I have used them all and prefer Barracuda for comfort and seal. Go to a store and try on a bunch(all of them). Take them all out of the package and look at your toes and push the goggles up to your eyes and check for a good seal, about three seconds is what you want before they plop into your hands. Make sure nose piece does not feel uncomfortable at all or it will rub your skin raw. Get two pairs, one tinted and one clear for all conditions.

I like speedo hydrospex too. I had two pairs with blue lenses and gave one away because I didnt like the tint. I also have a clear lens set, which I use most often. Ive got deepset eyes and these larger lense cover them better. I like the one piece molded frame and rubber surrounds.

I went through about 3 different pairs, I agree that they do fit different on different faces, for me the Lane 4 reveloution are the best pair I have every had in my lifetime. I've had my for over a year now and they have never leaked, and fit my face great.

i have baracuda too, but in all honestly, it seems like any googles i've had fog up. i use anti-fog and/or spit on them. i think the "anti-fog" stuff wears off quickly and you have to take care of them "just right".
