Subject: 2006 trek 1000 road bike for sale
I've got a trek 1000sl road bike for sale. Its orange with red flare, and its a 56cm bike. Its either a ten speed or a nine speed I dont really know how to figure that out. It has a shimano derailers with a Bontrager crankset. I also have profile design aero bars on it.  It has about 2000 miles on it but the tires only have about 500 because i had them replaced. I have crashed on it once. There was no real damage because i put my body between the bike and the road. I got pretty beat up but the bike has just three scratches. I am selling because i bought the bears bike. I dont really know how much to ask for it but im hoping to get at least 450 for it. i bought it for 700 so i think that is a good price for it. Count how many rings are on the back wheel and that will determine if it is 9 or 10 speed in case you were wondering.

$450 is a pretty good deal.  The 1000 actually has a Sora/Tiagra 8 speed drivetrain, unless you've upgraded it.

yes it is an 8 speed. I would really like to get 550 for it but i dont really know if its worth that. what do ya'll think. if i could even get 500 i would be happy. i bought the bears bike and now i need to pay my parents back for it. so if i could get 500 to 550 i would be really happy.

You need to get a pic that is small (memory wise first of all like 100K) you will need to take a digitial pic in the lowest resolution possible or just shrink it.  Then reply to your message and at the bottome there is a box to check that say "attach a file after posting", just check there and you will be propted to add a file.

Not sure about the price you might want to check out ebay and see what they are selling for there.

Also a good idea to watch ebay, maybe even for a few weeks, to see what comparable bikes are going for. That's what I did prior to offering my bike for sale.
