Subject: RE: Ideal Weight July 2004 I was 6'3 235 lbs (I was also bench pressing 375lbs ) I was doing extreme work in the gym. Was running a 24 minute 5k. Decided I would try to cut weight to see how it impacted my running. As of today 12/16/04 I weigh 210, and just finished a 5k race with a time of 20:30. I played college football. My senior year weight was 212. I am now 35. I am excited just to be down to my college weight. I love triathlons. It is my new passion. I also love the look on all the small skinny types when this big boy comes barreling by them. I am big but I have a goal weight of 200lbs (anything less I'd look waifish ) with a 5k sub 19 and 10k sub 40. My 1500 swim is sub 25 and my bike times are improving (People love to draft me when I train with them ) All this to say, most people defeat themselves mentally and this prevents them from pushing themselves to the limit. The runner Prefontain says "I wasn't the best runner because I was the best athlete. I was the best runner because I could endure more pain than the rest of the competition"
