Comments: Started out not feeling great and got bogged down in race traffic. I spent half of the first few miles dodging people and running through ice or snow on the sidewalks. After the numbers spread out a bit it was better and I started to settle into my stride. What would you do differently?: Try and get to the front of the pack at the start to get off faster. Post race
Warm down: Walked/jogged about 2 miles. What limited your ability to perform faster: congestion at start of race Event comments: This was the first year they ran this race so I didn't find it very well organized. First I got a letter in the mail two days before the race saying the start time had been bumped up 2 hours. Then at race pickup there weren't many people around to answer questions. When it got time to finally start the race things got delayed because people were still checking bags so many of us were left standing out in the cold. Don't get me wrong I had a great race and a really fun time. I just hope that the city of boston and the people in charge of this race put a little more effort into it in the years to come. Slept like crap the night before. Got up and ate raisin bran cereal with milk 2 hours prior to race start.
Jumping in place while trying not to freeze my ass off.
