so who's doing Chicago marathon this year?

good for you!!  I think this time I around I might actually part with the $$$ and join a training group... like CARA or something.  I remember training for my two marathons before gets old towards the end, and I remember seeing CARA run around and wished I had joined up.  so this time I might try it, we'll see.

Registration opens 2/1 or 2/2... right... if I do register, I will do it right away!!

According to the website registration opens Feb 1. 

I am thinking about it.  my friend Tom might come back to Chicago to do it so I will have to then.  There are still a couple of smaller local ones I might do because they are alot cheaper but then again I started ever Chicago marathon since 2004 and finished everyone expect 2007. 

Its either Chicago marathon or Milwaukee and grand Rapids.

I'm in.  This year should be my 3rd Chicago and my 5th marathon. 

And I will make sure to trip JayHawk if I see her.

I am in. it will be my 6th Chicago marathon.  not sure what number marathon.  It will be my 13th - 18th marathon.  Plus its my 5 year annivesry of running

 The first day I got into running was Chicago Marathon 2004.  I only walked up until that day.  I did not run 1 day until the Chicago Marathon.  I started running during the race because I knew I needed to be faster otherwise I would not finish in time.  Joined a pace group and did a 3-2 walk/run.

Do not worry about goal time until you start your training.

if your pace you run now i a fine finish time then that would be a good goal time.  If you want to run faster i suggest getting used to it now or you like to finish slower just build what you run at.  This way when the training startes you will be ahead of the game and running faster than you thought you were.

This will be my 3rd marathon... my 2nd Chicago... God willing, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
