Subject: RE: Pre-event nutrition O.K., I've done an Oly and a HIM (the HIM was most recent ). I ate a banana before I left the house in the wee hours. The race started at 7:00 AM. I also consumed several gel packs during the bike ride. My race pace for the swim and bike were a little better than my training pace. For the run it was a lot slower. I trained using a HIM program I downloaded from this website (Bronze ). I was doing something 6 days per week with several bricks mixed in. I did the full 20 weeks and missed 0 workouts. The intensity varied by week, but I felt like I trained well. This is my second year doing tri's and I did a pretty good winter maintenance program. |
