Actually, it took them a little more than three hours to fill it and close it.

I've heard the goodies are REALLY good.  Nice bonus for doing the race, plus it will be really cool to own a coveted "25th Anniversary" Finishers medal

I'm in but cheated a little bit.  I signed up for the TX/LA Challenge early in May.  That got me into Rivercities without having to get up early to do it.  And I get to do two races I was going to do anyway (two in the Dallas area).

Can't wait to see the goodies.  Last year was pretty good.

That race falls right smack in the middle of....nothing on my calendar. Maybe I can come up and be a race volunteer and cheer you guys on since I'll be free that weekend.

That would be cool, Bill.  I've heard and read so many good things about River Cities, so I had to sign up.  It is like a 12 hour journey for me....hopefully it will be so fun that it will be worth the long trip!

I believe they have a waiting list if you're interested in racing... might be a long-shot, but if you're coming anyway...

Okay I emailed the "info" people for an application. The link didn't pop up for me...probably my server. Hope to see you all there either way. Sound like a great race.

If any needs a bike shop to unpack, build, repack, and ship your bike for River Cities, call River City Cycling:
(318)629-2453.

They won't have prices until the middle of next week. If you call, ask for Zac or Ian.

I'm not the bear, but it was the Cajunman official race hotel that you don't want to stay at.

It was cajunman that has the dump host hotel, you'd be better at the Comfort Inn just up the road, or let me know what your requirements are and I'll give you a different recommendation. I sent Will a list of B&Bs too, if anyone wants to go that route.

I'll probably try to book something for RC tonight, now that you mentioned it.We're cheap frugal, so I'll look at one of the lesser priced hotels on the site, maybe the Microtel for $59, or something cheaper on hotels.com.

I ended up booking at the Days Inn Airport, $47 for the night. Looks like everything's a good drive (20+miles) from the race site.

That is about right.

There is a bridge out on Airline Drive, so to get to the race you have to take Benton Rd (Hwy 3) to Kingston Rd and then take a left from Kingston onto Airline and then about 1/2 mile later take a right right on to Linton Rd.

Here is a map from the airport
