I hopped on the scale this morning just to see what I have to look forward to tomorrow - NOT GOOD. It appears I have gained a few lbs.

But I think, after running the furthest ever on Sunday my body is retaining fluids as recovery - please tell me this sounds about right????? Someone, please.....LOL

Sometimes a weigh in can seem like it is off....  Don't worry.  You need to win the war, not the battle. 

Do well today on the diet.  If you can get in some exercise and sweat, maybe it will release some of that water....

I know those slight gains can be so discouraging, especially when you've been putting forth so much effort.

Stay the course. Sometimes I have slight gains before a big loss. You are probably very close to another good loss.

Weigh-in day for me.

June starting weight: 281lb

Last week: 282lb

This week: 280lb

Difference: -2lb

My run volume has increased and I have been more active generally. I had a big weekend of training which has obviously contributed to the good result.

Onto next week...

The weight fluctuations will occur frequently, believe me I know. Don't let it bother you though.

Just keep persisting and the weight will come off.

No idea how to explain this - I thought I had been eating good all week. Heck was wifes birthday and I even skipped out on the cake and ice cream.

This is a bummer.

If I may suggest a 1 day liquid fast (protein drinks only and a lot of water: lemon?) just to shake it up a bit. Confuse the body and re jump start it.
