Subject: Calf Pain / Injury Admission
Ok, I have this pain in my right calf muscle......there I finally admitted it. Actually it is most likely the Gastrocnemius Medial head since the pain is on the inner portion of my right calf. The pain exists about halfway down, right where many diagrams show attachment of the muscle to the achilles tendon.

I have read that plenty of rest and alternating ice / very easy stretching will remedy. I am sure that recovery time depends on so many factors..........hope it isnt too long.

Man I am really bummed about this, as it has been re-occuring for about 2 weeks and really limits my running.

Anyone with past experience on this?

BE SMART- Rest- ie- no running but does it hurt to cycle? make sure you are not increasing distance/speed/hills all at once or too quickly- check your running shoes- ? orthotics- PAY ATTENTION now- to avoid chronic issue !!!!!!muscle strains heal quickly with rest & ice- muscle tears and Achilles tendon issues art another animal.......
