Cold/upper 30s - cloudy and light wind. Pueblo Spring Runoff 10 Mile Race. Course starts in the parking lot of Dutch Clark Stadium, runs through neighborhood streets for the first couple miles, City Park for a bit over a mile, then down to the trail along the Arkansas River, out past the Nature Center, back to the finish inside the stadium, with the last 300 meters on the track. Mostly flat except for the downhill to the river trail and an uphill coming into the stadium. Started out at a fast but controlled pace. Dialed it in after the first half mile and maintained a strong pace the rest of the way. After the 10K split off I was about 10 yards behind a guy and never could catch him. We were passed at about 6.5 miles by the lead woman and that was it. Finished 3rd in AG and 20th overall. Ran hard. New PR by over 2 minutes!
