Subject: going to check out a used bike, What do i look for?!!
Hey everyone

i'm going to check out a used bike tomorow. i'm planning to bring it, with the seller, to a bike store to get checked out before i make any $$$ exchanges. But i'd like to know, what should i look for in terms of "red flags" that would indicate a bad buy or a bike that's been over used? the bike is a trispecific cannondale from 2001 with about 5000km. What should i ask the teck to check out, what should i look for myself?

i'm excited to get a bike but don't want to get caught with my pants down.

Well my gut usually tells me when I am dealing with a dork.

Dings, unusual wear, a loose chain or one with rust on it (hard to get rust off the chain). Anything that does not add up. The shop will help you a lot.
