We were going to run a Turkey Trot together, but at $30 a pop, we weren't up for the $420 total entry fee. Instead, we've laid out our own 5k in a local park. Our family is doing the same thing doing our own private 5K with my husband and any of our 5 kids that want to participate or not. |

Expert 1051 Bradenton, Florida | Subject: RE: Turkey Trots; Gobblers & Other Turkey Day Races A little late to the discussion, but, I worked as the Medical Director for the Bradenton Runners' Club 5 Mile Turkey Trot. This is one of 4 races that I work with my Student Athletic Trainers a fund raiser. I did manage to squeeze in a 5 mile run on my own later in the afternoon. |

Only later when I got home did I realize they shorted the course by about .4 So much for busting out a fast run. If I add my time plus the amount it would have taken me to run the last .4 not such a great run. It was still fun! |
