haha I hope what happens whenever I seek redemption doesn't happen to you

Hey, it's OK. Some of us enjoy living vicariously through your various 'redemptions.' LOL

At least your life is never boring!

My 'redemptions' inevitably turn into sins that require yet more 'redemption'! This is for the birds!

<--- FYI I hate my avatar (bad, bad memories) but it was the only recent decent running pic and apparently the piglets of BT are happy.

I hope everyone is having a good labor day weekend.  Some of you may be just starting yours, but here in Japan it's halfway through saturday already.  Just got back from the pool so now it's time for lunch, a little work on my masters thesis (I loath it) and then some stress relief with a bike ride at the gym.  I would ride outside but there's a typhoon outside. :P  Tokyo is just at the eastern edge of the storm, but it's pretty windy outside.  Might make for some good training, but a tree branch to the face would not be ideal... On that note, I hope those affected by Hurricane Irene are getting back to normal.  My prayers are with all of you.

What are you doing your masters in? Hope the typhoon goes away soon so you can ride without the threat of a "tree branch in the face" again.

I'm pursuing a master's in aviation safety from Embry-Riddle.  It appears that the typhoon has passed so I should be able to ride outside today.  Oh the joy!!!

Good morning!  It's been a crazy couple of days here but finally have a few quiet minutes this morning to get caught up on BT.    My parents are in town for the weekend so we have lots planned, but hubby and I did get in a ride yesterday morning.  I ended up going about 1.5 miles longer than planned because I got a little lost.  Thanks goodness for GPS on my new Droid!  Today is mostly likely back to school shopping and the fair...  but I'll be back on the bike tomorrow.  I think my rear will appreciate the day off...  Have a good one everyone!

It doesn't need to be a picture of *you running*. It just needs to be a "running-related" picture. You could even post a picture of your running shoes (which are probably pink, even though you hate pink).

2 swims and 2 rides in the "short" week in for Team north, just gets tougher from here.  3 of each on tap next week, hoping the late summer cold going around by passes me this year.

WOW!!!  It's a close race at the conclusion of the first partial week.  Only 0.5% seperate the teams!  Great job with the training numbers to all involved!  Keep it going!

Hop on in. Pick a team, set some goals, and put yourself on the spread sheet. (look at the first page of the thread for help on that- I am not your choice for that )

Enjoy!

Yay! Thank you. I'll check it out at work so I can think of a reasonable goal.

I plugged in my name and goals, but it doesn't look right? If someone could help me fix it, I'd appreciate it so much.

Hi Blanda,  Welcome to the challenge!  The spreadsheet looks great.  I did a little formatting so that your row matches the way the ones above look, but everything was entered correctly as far as I could tell. -Tim

Morning All! This has been a fairly quiet thread for the last few days - I'll take that as proof that everyone on the South team is training hard and all the Northerners are sleeping a lot Tongue out

I have swum 4 times in the past 5 days, and my distance in the last week is already way past last month. For those of you who know me, thats quite an acheievement for me. I am even starting to hate swimming a little less....

New item on to do list: find bike pump!!  My tires are so flat and my bike pump is still packed away somewhere.  I have absolutely no idea where it could be.  So that's what I'm doing tomorrow.  I'm also going to a class at the gym with my sister called tone and trim which she says is really good so I'm looking forward to it.

I am VERY late but I just checked out the forum for the first time. I have all my workouts logged on spark people and I would LOVE to jump in on the challenge and transfer everything over if that would be okay? I live in central KY, some say that's the north, some say the south :-) but I was born and raised in WA so I'll join north if you all will have me?

Nails: I love your hair and the little munchkin with you!!

I forgot to mention that I put myself on team South because it was short a player, and I just happen to be from the SOUTH Pacific.

I picked this challenge because I am working on my bike and swim portion of the tri. Swim's goal's looking good to be completed with two classes a week, but bike is one I have to initiate on my own. I hope to hop on the bike before or after the swim classes. I'm not inactive though. Did an 8x400 on the treadmill today. Yay!

First of all, some trash talk....the Northerners can sleep a bit. We'll wake up when we get some competition.

Secondly, Have to say my own "hatred" for swimming has lessened a bit too. So, this challenge has helped me already!!
