Oops! Posted on the wrong day (I'm a day ahead):

1st ride on my first bike since childhood: 10.81 mi in 01:00 at a 10.9mph pace
Then a 3 mile run in 27:24.

I had so much fun on the bike. I felt like a kid again! That's my best 3 mile time in a long while. I think the bike ride warmed my legs up really good for it.

Bring on Monday!

Just curious--is the faithful pacer buddy human or canine?  Attempt to figure out long run/ bike duo as am trying to train for a HM and still maintain bike and Sunday AM is my best slot for both (quandry on other thread). 1:20 run. Insufferably hot even at 6 AM. 1:45 bike. Also pretty hot. At least some shade and breeze on bike. Run/bike must have set some kind of record for road-kill sightings, fortunately none of them human. Rained most of PM, but still insufferably hot. Sweating at computer.

Heading to the west coast shortly for a couple of days.  Got running gear/garmin packed, this evening should be a nice long run, hopefully not too hot, need to get in 11 ish miles.  Should see many nice young west coast piglets on the trail

I may sit around and watch some football.  I did a 5 mile run thursday, light jog and bike on friday and a metric century yesterday on the bike.  My legs are toast.  It is a nice day for a little run though - I may through in a quick jog.

6:30 am - 1 mile warm up run with my wife and 2 miles of intervals. I dislike intervals, a lot. But it seems to help my overall speed, so I am back to them once a week.

Afternoon - pool time, 2000 yds. of laps.

In between the two I was playing guitar at church and eating too many pastries at coffee hour.

Enjoy what is left of the weekend

I guess I actually have three pacer buddies then!  The best one is human-one of my CC boys has agreed to do long runs with me to help me push my pace.  We take my two four legged buddies along too, Brutus and Lola--they are great training partners, too!

Last day of peak week before tapering:

2,700 LCM swim this morning.  Hit one of those milestone numbers; 100 miles for the year.  Whoop!

Long run this evening, 11 miles.  Going to be a fun one.

Just finished my 80 mile bike ride.  I am pretty pleased with the results.  Gonna lay around the rest of the day watching football and recovering.  Have an 8 mile run tonight to finish off a big week.

Recovery day after my race yesterday.  Back in the pool tomorrow even though the swim was the best part of my race.  Usually I do best in the bike but I just didn't have the legs yesterday.

I ran the Philly Half Marathon this morning in 1:38:33 and spent the afternoon at a barbecue with my running club. Felt so good after the run I took the bike out and rode to the BBQ.

1:39:00 run this afternoon during "nap" time. I wanted to be sure I made 7 miles and over shot it. Ran 7.66 miles! Hip started aching a little at about mile 7, but nothing intolerable. I kept the slow pace I was hoping for, too.

I'm loving this cool weather for running.

Awesome job! It's great that you still had energy/legs to bike to the BBQ.
