Could NOT get up with early alarm.....But I did run while my son was sleeping - yea! I own a treadmill that is so old it doesn't have any display (you know, like time, distance, mph......) Yes, at least it is electric! Anyway, I digress....
I ran for 1 hour with an average HR of 155 and I guesstimate that my pace was 5mph so that makes me
ECSTATIC!
Thank you to the people here on the board that posted to me about building my endurance rather than worrying about pace in my fledgling career

1250 in the pool; I'm starting to get a little frustrated by what I see as a lack of progress. I suppose it's there, but it's coming SO SLOWLY. I see great, rapid gains in my running, biking and lifting, but the swimming...ugh. So, I've eaten half of my chocolate Easter chick...

I got up and swam for half an hour this morning and it actually went pretty darn good! I was quite pleased. I'm still a n00b when it comes to swimming, so I take what I can get.

Tonight will be a run and some weights. Maybe abs, maybe not. I did 450 crunches last night. Yesterday I was monster woman! I biked 15 miles or so (to and from work, to the Y, and then on the stationary bike to finish a "long ride" since it was cold and threatening to rain outside), lifted weights, did my ab work, and then ran two miles just because I wasn't dead yet. I also did my killer aerobics class in the morning. (It's an hour and she makes us to really evil things like run laps, then grab weights and run down stairs then back up with weights taking two steps at a time.)

So I won't feel too bad if I don't go all out today.

Tomorrow I'm off on a conference, but I called the Y in the city I'm going to and they're putting aside a week pass for me!

I am really happy today cause I can run comfortably. I,ve been having problems with running for the past few weeks or so.Today, when I start to run, my knees was feeling a bit uncomfortable and after a few minutes the discomfort seems to go away and I am back to my usual self again.I was a bit lazy and did not run far just 15minutes but it's a start.
Half marathon here I come......

Ovetta, you crack me right up!
Hope you are feeling better soon, Mike...try not to be too hard on yourself while you are feeling this way.
Autumn, have an excellent trip.

As for me, REST DAY! My HR was a bit up this am, so I decided to lay off.

Swam 3700 meters at 5:30 a.m.  Later in a.m., went to beach to practice wetsuit transitions, ~300 meters more plues two depressing attempts at getting the wetsuit off (better to screw up in practice!) biked > 21 miles.
