I'm pretty sure that I've already pointed out that only weirdos do the whole goatee and shaved head thing.

Ah yes .... the ol' "Hair Relocation" look. Groovy.

I am letting the hair grow on my legs but that doesn't qualify. I did the beard thing every winter when I lived in the cold country. Not in Florida.

I like to blame gravity.

If I wanted to do the Ice-T thing with the two braids coming off my chin, I could. I grow hair like cRaZy on my chin. Otherwise, its pretty spotty. I had to grow a beard for an opera I was in a couple of years ago and it looked RIDICULOUS! I worked on that thing for 8 weeks and, in the end, I could've just had them glue the hair to my face. Not the most comfortable thing but a darn sight better than having that weak a$$ beard and looking like a criminal. The funniest part of being in these operas is all the cool wigs I get to wear. I have a shaved head and to see the looks on people's faces when I show up on stage wearing a Fabio wig are priceless!

I've used clippers #1 on my head and goatee for a long time.  It all comes down to caish!  $25 for hair clippers every ten years or so, vs. $15 bucks every two weeks.  Hey, where did all that money go anyway?

BTW, as far as women are concerned there is a reason why they would prefer a goatee over a full-on grizzly adams beard.  I'll leave it up to your HEALTHY imaginations to figure it out.

I agree. I can't see spending $15 bucks every 2-3 weeks when all you want is a buzz. My wife does my hair as well as our two boys. What a money saver.

Goatee all the way. Some gray sneaking in...as my students pointed out the other day. Hairline not moving yet...but I'm preparing for the inevitable so the buzz keeps getting shorter.

Thanks, but in our house, your vote counts almost as much as mine does.

Some winters I've grown a beard, most I don't. It comes in darker (Red) than my hair (Blond). Pretty soon, it'll start coming in whiter/grayer.

Last year, I grew a 2-week stubble for a Yukon Gold Rush look. I told my wife it would go after the campout, and she was mad that I shaved it off without HER permission. Like I get to vote whether she perms/colors her hair?

I've considered growing a beard for the cold, long runs that I'll be enduring for Marathon training.

The nice thing is that because my face is so freaking hairy that I can grow a full dam* beard in less than one week.  The crappy thing is that I HATE to shave and am currently going the beardless route which means if I don't shave for 2-3 days, it's out with the clippers.

I used to do the shaved head/full beard route until.  Pretty cool if you ask me.  I've also done the 15" of hair and full beard.  That was high maintenance.

But, back to the original question, I've debated growing some facial hair for the upcoming winter season.  If I don't, this'll be my first winter without facial hair since high school!
