Expert 725 Wilmington, NC | Subject: RE: Week 10 - New Years Resolution Challenge STARTING WEIGHT: 203.5 pounds Backslid for yet another week. This time I KNOW why. Too much Thai food last night followed by a trip to Coldstone's. Celebrating my son's last night at home before spring break ends. Today will be bad as well - his Eagle ceremony followed by a reception with all the attendant food. I will be back on track on MONDAY. |

Subject: RE: Week 10 - New Years Resolution Challenge STARTING WEIGHT: 214 lbs Really have nothing to say. I am fitting looser in my clothes and my endurance it up. I am happy with the way I am progressing, but the weight thing is just something that I don't understand. I will not go down the road of starvation. I had three people come up to me this past week and said I look thinner. Maybe I am a freak of nature. Oh well, I can live with that! HaHa! |

Extreme Veteran 510 Falls Church, VA | Subject: RE: Week 10 - New Years Resolution Challenge STARTING WEIGHT 277.6 This morning the scale says I'm at my goal weight. But I'm not ready to declare victory until it stays at or below for a couple of days. Today was probably just a dip in the data. Although 240 is a big milestone for me I still have a bunch of weight to shed. So it's time for a new goal. |

Weights that give me hope of obtaining the goal in the time remaining. Need to hit the training a little more seriously and make better food choices. Let's go everyone only 19 days left. Great things can still be done!!!! |

If I'm still under 130 next week that'll be a major achievement for me. |

Regular 88 Kitchener, Ontario | Subject: RE: Week 10 - New Years Resolution Challenge Here they are.... The good the bad and the ugly... STARTING WEIGHT: 223 lbs. TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS FOR CHALLENGE: 7 GOAL WEIGHT FOR THE CHALLENGE (March 31st) - 195 TOTAL WEIGHT TO LOOSE: 28 LEFT TO LOOSE: 21 I know all to well that the goal weight will not be reached but I hope for a respectful 210 by the end. What I have figured out is that the little things are throwing me out of wack. The "little treats" along the way that are adding up and the libations too. As I am leaving the prep period of my Ironman training, I know what I need to tighten up on - treats and drinks.... But one strange thing is happening. At the start of this, my BF% was at 29. Today it was 23%. Obviously things are moving in the right direction Keep up the good work everyone. Edited by CrazyCanuck 2006-03-12 1:55 PM |

I don't seem to be able to lose faster than a pound a month, but the good news is I've lost that much, and not gained! |

Extreme Veteran 541 Virginny | Subject: RE: Week 10 - New Years Resolution Challenge STARTING WEIGHT: 201 TWO WEEKS AGO: 196.5 THIS WEEK: 197 WEIGHT LOST THIS WEEK: -0.5 TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS FOR CHALLENGE: 4 GOAL WEIGHT FOR THE CHALLENGE (March 31st): 185 TOTAL WEIGHT TO LOOSE: 16 LEFT TO LOOSE: 12 The box of krispy kreme's couldn't have helped. I don't know why I'm having comfort food issues these past few weeks... The training is going good, so I think I need to start actually watching what I eat, instead of eating what I want, with a binge once a week or so! On the other hand, being below 200 for over a month now makes me very happy! I almost believe it's real! |

Extreme Veteran 326 Paso Robles, California | Subject: RE: Week 10 - New Years Resolution Challenge TRACKING SHEET LAST WEEK(WEIGHT / FAT %): 230.2 / 31.6% GOAL WEIGHT FOR THE CHALLENGE (March 31st): 215 GOAL FAT% FOR THE CHALLENGE (March 31st) - 20% TOTAL WEIGHT REMAINING: 12.2LBS I have finally gotten over the plateau. I have been floudering around 230 for a few weeks now, but I have broken through and seen a great drop this week. Partially do to less training and more concentration on my eating, but also the muslce mass has been going up, burning more calories per hour. I have broken the 20 pounds lost mark, oh yeah. I know at this rate I will not make my original goal, but I have decided to personally extend until Wildflower, May 6th. If and when, I hit 215, I will be racing at 27 pounds less than my race weight one-year ago. And with all those hills I know that my bike and run are really going to see a benefit. Thanks to everyone here for being there, I always have gotten stuck on 230, and now I see that I can break that door down. Jason |
