I am so glad to hear someone else thought the swim might have been long.  Honestly, am thinking that was not a 1.2 mile, but unless someone had a garmin on them, doubt we'll know.

Swim/Bike/Run (33:58 / 2:59 / 1:49)  TOTAL with transitions = 5:31:42

I melted on the run and it was only 75 degrees today.

Time to work on my transitions as I spent far too much time in there.

Nice day out. Got some work to do in my training. Left some nice gaps in there that this course showed me I need to work on. But that's what I came here fore. 5 min into the bike the powermeter battery went out, which means I lost cadence too. HR never worked for either the bike or run. Don't think I was doing 230 bpm or so. Pace isn't very useful on the run here.

Swim: 37

Bike: 2:35

Run: 1:45

Found Rudy, but ended up leaving not long after that. Wanted to make sure I put some time in tonight in getting home.

07:12:08, knocked off 18:30 from my 1st HIM last year, would have been even more time except i flatted on the bike coming out of transition. i'm still yet to figure that out. wasn't a new tire/tube, hadnt been deflated so shouldnt have been a pinch flat, wasn't over inflated. I changed it (with quit a few expletives, but moved on). Bike sucked the energy out of me, made me wish i had gone for the 11/28 instead of 12/25. As to the swim course being long, hate to break it to you, but my 910xt had it measured at 1.2 miles.  That run was a beast...garmin put it at 1100' of climbing. even with that, my run was 30 minutes faster than miami. needless to say, i'm looking forward to october. i just need to get in more long bikes so that i can have even more energy to bring the run down closer to 10:00. Good job out there everybody.

I had 3,650 for the bike using an Edge 800. Lowest reading I can remember seeing. Most were around or just over 4,000 ft.

Had ~850 for the run, about normal as most seem to come up with mid to high 800's. Quite a bit.

With my Garmin 405cx I had  3,691 on the bike and 781 on the run.  It seemed low to me but elevations always seem lower in a multi-sport.

Anyone else having real difficulty with the arm tatoos?  They were sticky when I put them on and they wont come off.  The leg one was fine - and dry to the touch after a few minutes.  The arm ones are horrible.  I tried rubbing alcohol but it tasted nasty.  No, really I tried rubbing alcohol and my wifes nail polish remover (had to qualify it was my wifes for this group).  Neither has worked and now I have sticky smudges on both arms where my shirts adhere to each day.

Nail polish remover is the only thing that removed the tattoos.

Um, I think you're supposed to rub it on, not ingest it. :p

I remember having this trouble from Knoxville last year. Took a couple days, but they came off with some basic scrubbing here and there. It is kind of annoying, but they do stay on nicely for the race. No wetsuit rubbing them off.

To remove the tattoos I used baby oil.  Worked pretty well although the residue got very gummy.
