I've done a half - this will obviously be a big challenge. Does anyone know the actual bike elevation gain and elevation change? I've seen different numbers in different places. |

Pro 5755 | Subject: RE: IMLP 2013 - Who's In? I had 3253 feet for one loop, but I also had 59.8 miles so we did a little extra. It gave me great confidence for my two HIM's this year but its going to be a long winter on the trainer. And regarding the date, I didn't even look when I signed up. Too excited waiting in line to drop $650. Does WTC spike the cool-aid or what? |

I have a feeling the OMG feeling will stay a while. lol After I signed up THREE different people asked me if I was ok - apparently I 'looked as white as a ghost'. On a whim I looked at the website - was shocked to see it still open - called my brother and we are both in for what will be our first Iron distance (we have planned to do B2B next October as we figured we had no shot at making IMLP 2013) ... stoked and frightened at the same time ... Some much more structured training will be on order for this year and definitely need to plan my March-June race schedule accordingly ... |

Expert 770 Long Island, NY | Subject: RE: IMLP 2013 - Who's In? This will be my second time around, after finishing in 2010. I can't wait to go back, it was a great experience. The race, the town, everything.
My guess is that IMNY/NJ and Mont Tremblant are pulling people away from LP as there are now three IMs close in both proximity and distance in the Northeast. Still sold out, though. |

Pushed my lunch break off until I signed up! 7th Iron Distance race and I still got the what the heck did I just get myself into feeling my entire lunch run. One of the reasons it didn't sell out as fast is they have expanded the field size to over 2500 and thanks to the additions of IM NYC and IM Mt T. in August there are more races for the folks in the NorthEast to chose from, so the race took longer to fill up. Fine by me. Lake Placid meant alot to me as a kid from Mass. in 1980, and to come back and race there with the history will be super cool. Edited by southwestmba 2012-07-23 8:55 PM |

| Member 139 | Subject: RE: IMLP 2013 - Who's In? Google "ADK by owner". There is a section for buyers and renters. We rented a gorgeous house on the Ausable river last week for $2400. It was only 8 miles away in Wilmington. Houses start selling out by late December though, so start looking now. |
