#555- 2 mi after swim
#556- 7.2 mi with 3 x 1 mi at 6:40 with 1/4 mi jog recovery. Knee still sore, also racing a HIM this weekend, so I wanted to do some sort of threshold workout that didn't beat me up too much.

Wednesday - #276 - 4 miles

Rough month for a few reasons...this is the first month since November that I didn't break 100 miles.

The dog's wrist seems healed, so I have my running buddy back. Running solo sucks.

#559- 2 mi, picked it up for the last quarter mile or so.

#560- 13.1 mi. Raced a HIM today. Ran a 1:35:00 exactly off the bike, 1:34:xx would have looked better. Was hoping for 1:32-1:33, but my I blew my quads up a bit on the bike. Had my best ride to date though, averaged 22.8 mph on the garmin. Got 2nd AG too.

Great job on the HIM and AG finish. Not a bad half marathon time either.

Thanks.

My VDOT is in the 52 to 53 range right now, and a table that I was looking at put me at 1:30 -1:36, so I was hoping for at least the middle at 1:33, but I did ride my bike leg at the upper end of my ability. I did end up running pretty even splits, except a bit faster in the last 2 - 3 miles when I decided that I had enough in the tank to get to the finish without any sort of catastrophe.

#561- 2 mi, quads sore, and legs heavy, but I have shuffled through day after race recovery runs in much worse shape. I actually managed a comfortable jog. It was a nice day too, almost wanted to stay out there longer. Almost.

Great job! I wouldn't mind a stand alone HM at that pace.

#81 - 3.8. With the sun coming up earlier, my territory has expanded a little bit. That said, heading into the park at 5:15 was probably a little earlier than was wise. I almost redecorated my nose a couple times.

I just found a 10 mile trail race in July that has me excited. When I see how the next month or so goes, I may sign up for the 25K instead, but I know the 10 miler is within my reach.

How many miles per week have you been doing (I am too lazy to go back and add it up!), and how hard is the terrain?

I've been steady around 25 mpw. I've been trying to increase, but pressures of jobs, school, and family have made it difficult to find the time to run more. I'm hoping that the challenge of a goal outside of my comfort zone can help me shake things up.

The trail is a 10 mile loop. I've run about half of it, and it's not challenging at all. Even trails with no more than about 100 feet of elevation between the highest and the lowest points. Passing (or more likely for me, being passed) might be challenging. I emailed the RD to see if I could register for the 10 mile and then bump to the 25K if I'm feeling good.
