Subject: Raleigh Open water swim
Does anyone know of a group that used to do open water swims? I forget where or when it was. I would like to do a few open water swims before my A race this year if I can.

I think there's a group that swims at Falls Lake too. I don't know that group, but might be able to find more info out if you are interested. I think that one is less official than the one above.

I've swam with the group at Falls lake a number of times. Here is the mytrainlocal.com schedule: https://www.mytrainlocal.com/mtl.php?page=groupcalendar&groupid=2&co...

The swim is off of 98...near Hasentree. There is a map on the link above. The swim out to the point where everyone regroups is .6 miles. But if you want to do more, it is easy.

Stroke after stroke, my pace was pulling me out into the middle of the lake quickly. The cover seemed to be getting thicker. But still in the distance, the little boathouse was my lighthouse.
