Just a short dip in the water this morning, had a mini-tri as a training session so just 18 minutes to add to the total. But it was open water, does that count for double time?Wink

Another run today.  Really poured and blew this afternoon.  Then dried up and was decent for my run! Smile

For your workouts, do you base it on a race mile of 1650 yards or an actual mile of 1760 or the rounded pool mile 1800 yards?

Since I've been racing and entering data into a training blog on BT, I guess I don't think about the distance in miles anymore. I just enter yards into the log.

I enter everything in yards as well. However, I also use Runkeeper to track my workouts. In turn it auto syncs to my food journal (myfitnesspal). Anyway, Runkeeper and a lot if not most programs deal in miles. I have to enter my distance as a percentage of the a mile. Determining what that mile is, is what I am trying to figure out.

I think in that case, I would use actual mile of 1760.  Anyway, kudos for getting your consistency going!

Got a really slow 30 minute swim in. I am already super slow snail pace but this morning a snail could have swam faster.
I was tired and should have taken a rest day but today is when my swim group meets. I hate to flake.

Yesterday, I went to a 5:30 am 1 hour spin but left at 45 minute mark , hopped down the hall to the last 30 minutes of boot camp when she does her strength/core work. Then at 6pm, I had my 10K training class. My son had a lacrosse game so I shortened my run to 2 miles. It was short BUT I ran full speed, 30 seconds faster per mile than my 5K I did in August. Yes, I am slow right now, so a 13.25 pace is fast for me. My runs have been a good 1 min/mile slower.

I need a rest day, its been 2 weeks since my last full rest day because my schedule had to be changed as my husband travels.
Leaving work early, come home and rest, no workouts the rest of the day so I can be rested for my run (am) and swim (pm) tomorrow.

Challenge obsession, this is why I don't participate in more challenges.

Just completed my longest swim ever, that one is for the team! 3800 yards, with 2 x 400 @ race pace thrown in at the end. Ugh. I don't normally wear out from swimming but that one did it.

Nice work, swim team! Only 5 days left in September and we're powering along Smile. I  had another 40 minutes in the pool this morning and as long as I make tomorrow night's swim squad I'm on track to meet my goal. This challenge has given me an extra push to get the time in in the pool this month, it's been great

I don't think I am going to reach my goal of 580 minutes of swimming. I will be at 75% by month end.
I based my goal being able to swim 40 minutes when I swim on my own but I can only get in 30 minutes at a time.

Even though I may not get my goal of total minutes, I will reach my goal of swimming 3x a week.
I have not been this consistent in swimming 3x a week ever. For me, I made progress.

I'm at 82% with 5 days left in the month, and needing 12.5 more run miles to reach my goal of 70.  The problem will be this weekend is going to be a writeoff, we'll be out all day Sat and Sun with no chance to run for me.  So I have 3 days only to run. I'll try to do 6 on Thurs, 4 on Fri, then will only need 2.5 on Monday.. okay, that's the plan.

An hour squad swim tonight and I've made my goal, woo hoo! I still have a few possible swims, we're off to the beach for a family camping weekend on Saturday so I'm hoping for a few short dips while we're there
