I don't know - was not in the plans for a while. I thought my road bike would last several more years, but she went terminal tonight. I was scanning craigslist and saw a couple, but nothing that really excited me. Will start snooping around the shops. Hopefully pick up a good deal on a 2014. Thinking I will still go road bike unless..........

Holy moley todd! You can ride 10 miles in 35 minutes? Is that outside? Or on a trainer? Dang that's fast, isn't it? Also jealous of the 'easy' 3 miles in 32 minutes. Good for you!

I'm stuck today, I planned to swim this morning but realized its school vacation so the pool is closed. Hoping to get in the other town pool tonight, just need to check with hubster on his evening plans.

My workouts have been
Sunday- 15 miles/1.5 hours on Mary 'the bike' (first time i rode her outdoors, we make a damn good team)
Monday- 30 minute speed work swim
Tuesday- bike- 40 minutes on trainer
Wednesday 35 min run outside (came upon a duck sitting in the middle of the road! A duck! Sitting!)
Thursday... Still nothing yet but planning a swim tonight
Tomorrow planning a spin class
Saturday planning to run with friends for 3 miles, maybe I'll tack on a little more mileage.

I hope I complete this challenge. I love this challenge. Nicole, you are a bad ass! Go you, when's your race again?

Monday I swam in the pool 950 yd(40 min) ran 3 miles in 38 minutes
Tuesday rode 7 miles in 30 minutes on trainer
Wednesday swam 850 miles in 40 minutes and skipped the run. I got a 2 hr
Sports massage. Then did 2 hr yard work
Thursday day off but cut, moved, planted sod 3hr
Friday swim today less and slower, and jog today more side to cut
Saturday off more side to cut
Sunday through all next week off. Children compete on Saturday. I compete on Sunday April 12th

I found out at my massage that the therapist thinks my pain is sciatic nerve pain. Also realized
I am turning my foot a lot when I run and so that is throwing my body mechanics
Out of wack. So I need to work on that and stretch twice as much on my right.
Happy Easter to everyone!!

My training went better than I thought. I got 600 yd in the pool 20 minutes, then toweled off got home and got on my bike in the trainer did 5 miles in 27 minutes, then got off the bike and went out and jogged a mile in 14 minutes.
My tri suit is cold when wet and it is 68 out and sunny. But by the end of my run my shorts were just about dry. I think it is the sports bra keeping my top still wet. Overall it went well. It was brisk right out of the pool. I even stood in the sauna for a few minutes to dry off before getting into my car.

Now I am off to finish moving sod for my garden beds. My front yard is all clover. I guess the benifits to moving to a new house. Enjoy the weekend.

Been a rough week for me. Dad (he's 81yr) had a stroke on Monday, not severe, but still hard on all of us. Got him home on Thursday and now we are sitting back in the ER on Friday night with him for possible pneumonia...

Training has been hard to keep up this week. Have managed to get something in each day except for today. Still trying to stay positive knowing that my Tri is coming up fast on the 18th. Still learning to balance out everything and just when you think you might of gotten it all figured out, life throws a wrench into your plans.

Stay strong everyone and keep up the awesome work that you all have been doing! Keep posting because even when I'm not posting I am sitting here at some point reading your posts, cheering you on and finding my own motivation through you

Happy Easter Weekend Everyone !!!

Week has definitely not panned out the way I hoped looking at a restart on Monday. 15 weeks to a Century/Tri if I can get the bike situation worked out. If not, may just ride my 29er for months and rent a bike for the day of the century.

Susie, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad! My thoughts are with you.

Pete primo- what is a century tri? I'm scared to ask bc century is 100...

I got a great run in saturday completing this challenge week. I'm damn product of a daily workout. I feel great. Strong (until I run). I'm planning out my workouts for next week. Is there another challenge for this week?

Already a cyclist and not a bad swimmer, I figured all I had to do was build up to running a few miles and I’d be ready to go. The challenge invigorated me, and I ran out to buy new running shoes.
