Hey Jeff, just a quick note on your schedule - Lumberman moved their races from Saturday to Sunday (the 28th). In case you are doing any long term planning for it, that may make a difference for you. I'm doing the sprint there.

May 30, 2015 - Greenville Tri sprint with MyTeamTriumph
June 14, 2015 - Grand Rapids Tri sprint (most likely, my niece gets married the night before so this is a maybe)
June 17, 2015 - T-Rex Tri sprint
June 28, 2015 - Lumberman Sprint tri
July 12, 2015 - Grand Haven Tri sprint
July 15, 2015 - T-Rex Tri sprint
August 8, 2015 - Fremont tri sprint
August 12, 2015 - T-Rex Tri sprint
August 23, 2015 - Ludington Triathlon sprint
September 18, 2015 - Allendale Countryside Triathlon sprint with MyTeamTriumph

Big differance for me on the Lumberman race. That means if I want to race I have to take a vacation day, as my week starts on Sunday night. I am glad I looked at this thread......now off to the vacation shcedule

Big year coming up for me, lots of firsts!

3/28 - Barry Roubaix 36 mile course (first gravel race on my new to me cross bike)
4/25 - Rivertown Races 1/2 Marathon (warmup for Riverbank Run)
5/9 - Fifth Third River Bank Run
6/14 - GR Tri (first Olympic)
7/4 - Bostwick Lake (close to my house, supposed to be fun)
7/18 - Tri Del Sol (Olympic - went to the camp as a kid, seems like a fun idea)
8/23 - Miti (First 70.3)
10/18 - GR Marathon (first marathon)
11/8 - Iceman

I'm sure I'll throw another race or two in there knowing my team and how good they are at talking me into doing stupid things.

If all goes as planned I should earn that West Michigan Aim High Endurance Award!

If you've already signed up, they're offering refunds or transfers to other 3D events if you so choose.

Rock CF Half Marathon 03.29.15

MMBA Novi Tree Farm Relay (MTB Race) 07.25.15

Challenge America Cedar Point 70.3 09.13.15 (my first 70.3)

I was planning on doing Motor City Tri Olympic in June but with the cost of the 70.3 I can't do any more races this year...

Looks like I will be out at ILRA a lot this summer!

Wow, you guys will be busy!!!

Martian in Dearborn -- April 18, will try to talk the husband into doing the 10K for fun
Island Lake Olympic -- May 23, the only thing I'm officially signed up for yet
Independence Aquathon and Open Water Mile (Howell) -- July 5
AG Nationals, I haven't qualified, but just sayin' ... -- Aug. 9, may be tricky as my sister-in-law gets married in Ann Arbor on the 7th
MI Titanium, half distance -- Aug. 23
Maybe another Island Lake tri -- Sept. 6
And of course the Freep -- Oct. 18

I will also be at Island Lake a lot this summer! I tended to go later in the day on Saturdays last summer so I could actually see my husband and go to the farmer's market before putting in a full day of training. It meant for some hot days but MI Titanium was hot so at least I was prepared.

My schedule is as follows:

05/17 Sky-Tri in Ann Arbor
05/31 Holly Rec Area
06/17 Triceratops
07/15 Pterodactyl
08/12 T-Rex
09/12 Tawas Festival of Races

I signed up for the sprint distance, but may move up to the Olympic for Tawas. And for the Holly race, I'm in a relay with my daughter and son-in-law.

I may look for one more event in the fall depending on the family schedule.

Baby #2 Due - July

Island Lake Summer Race - 8/16

Possibly a run race at the end of the year, Free Press or Clarkston Backroads 1/2

This program should be used for an athlete who is new to duathlon and their goal is to complete a sprint duathlon without difficulty. The schedule consists of 3 workouts per week in each sport.

Fact is, it's tough. Best bet is to do the training that you can, and let the chips fall where they may.
