Subject: RE: creating recipes If you do that via a 'recipe', you will want to enter ingrediants for '1 serving' - that way next time you choose it, you can still adjust the individual servings of each ingrediant if you have 2 servings...that may involve a little math for the first time converting a bulk recipe down to a single serving. THE ONLY advantage to the 'recipe' is it keeps the ingredients separate for adjustment later. OR using the 'meal' option, you will have to sum up the batch carb/prot/fat, etc (doing it with a recipe for a batch once can give you the numbers), and for the 'amount' you can put in 4 servings. Then when you log that 'meal' next time, you can easily adjust the servings down by putting in a decimal value based on that '4 serving' batch. For example, if you enter the meal as a '4 serving' recipe, when you log for one serving, you just change the units to 0.25. BUT the only downside to this is that it lumps all ingrediant values together as the 'meal' - but is much easier to adjust per serving. So yes, the 'meal' would be a better and easier option. Let me know what you think, I can put up some screenshots too... |
