Swim
Comments: The water was COLD. I didn't get in until right before they called my number. They started us 15 secs apart by age group. Unfortunately I was followed by the mens 30-34 age group, so I got passed a few times. The lanes were nice and wide though and I was able to keep a decent rythm. What would you do differently?: Nothing, this was one of my best swims. Transition 1
Comments: T1 included in bike time Bike
Comments: I enjoyed the bike as soon as I warmed up, that wasn't until the 2nd lap. It felt like I was passed by the remainder of the men's 30-34 age group on the first couple of laps, but I also passed several riders. What would you do differently?: Wear a long sleeve shirt. Transition 2
Comments: T2 included in bike time. Run
Comments: My legs and breathing felt OK coming off the bike, felt a bit more tired on lap 2. I passed a lot of people on the run, but it is so different than running with fresh legs. What would you do differently?: Nothing. I enjoyed the run and felt like I gave it my all. Post race
Warm down: Just hung out, ate donuts and waited for the results. I was excited to get a medal. After the race I met my family for lunch at Mimi's and ate way too much. Last updated: 2007-02-03 12:00 AM

Overcast
Overall Rank = 8/63
Age Group = F30-34
Age Group Rank = 2/9
Got up at 5am. Had a quick breakfast, then drove for over an hour to the race site.
I went solo to the race as it was such an early start. It felt wierd to not be running around after the kids before the race. I had more time to get nervous.
Got there kind of late, just racked my bike in the only remaining spot and listened to the RD's speech. I had a long wait for my swim, so I stretched by the pool.
I got to meet Tanya (standswithfist) at the race and she is so cool.
